Second-cycle studies (complementary MSc studies) in the field of SYRVEYING AND CARTOGRAPHY were launched upon the Decision of the Ministry of Science and University Education No. MNiSW-DNS-WUN-6022-17729-1/11 of 29 July 2011.

This field of studies was positively assessed by the Polish Accreditation Commitee (PKA) by resolution No. 512/2015 of 25 June 2015.

Specialization: Geodetic Spatial Planning

Graduates of 3-semester MSc studies in the field of Surveying and Cartography and specialization in Geodetic Spatial Planning will acquire knowledge allowing them to solve technical, technological and organizational problems concerning photogrammetry, cartography, real estate cadastre, geomatics, real estate management and reconstruction tasks in agriculture and forestry production space. Graduates of this specialization can work in surveying departments of national and local government offices, national and local government agencies dealing with real estate management, in geodetic and design offices or run their own business offering surveying and cartographic services. Highly qualified specialists in surveying and cartography will have considerable scope for action in surveying engineering and in a wide range of real estate management.

 Specialization: Geoinformatics and Laser Scanning

 Graduates of 3-semester MSc studies in the field of Surveying and Cartography and specialization in Geoinformatics and Laser Scanning will acquire knowledge allowing them to solve technical, technological, legal and organizational problems concerning surveying and cartography, real estate management, laser scanning, digital photogammetry and photo interpretation, spatial information systems and programming techniques. Graduates of this specialization can work in surveying departments of national and local government offices, national and local government agencies dealing with real estate management, in geodetic and design offices, in companies offering IT services for surveyors or run their own business offering services in area of surveying and cartography or in a wide range of gathering and processing geoinformation. Highly qualified specialists in the field of applying geo-IT solutions will have considerable scope for action in surveying and cartography, real estate management, spatial planning and in all areas where spatial data is used, e.g. environment protection, emergency management, marketing, etc. Launching this specialization was based on a close cooperation with the market of employers who have pointed to the demand for specialists in modern technologies such as laser scanning or geoinformatics.
